107 reviews. Five stars.
Read every one on Google. We answer every email. We pick up every phone call. We show up when we say we will.
"We collected quotes for a new roof in 2022 and decided to wait. This year Chris and his team beat all the quotes we'd gathered. They showed up early, cleaned up after themselves daily, and were very friendly. Couldn't ask for a better experience."Steven Sweet Kingsport, TN · November 2023
"Christian is very responsive — and he is honest. He gave us a quote, and the job ended up costing more than he estimated. He wouldn't let us pay the difference because, he said, it wasn't our fault. We will only use Palisade going forward."Suzanne Senter Bristol, TN · October 2024
"If I could give Christian and his team a 10-star rating, I would. They did an amazing job installing a 26-gauge standing-seam metal roof on my new home."Derek Blatt Johnson City, TN · March 2025

Questions homeowners actually ask
Every answer below is written by Christian and reviewed quarterly.
How fast can a roofer get to my home after a storm?
Call us — we respond fast to storm-damage calls in Greene, Washington, and Sullivan counties, active leaks first. We don't run a "storm chaser" model — if it's not a Palisade truck, it's not us.
How long does an asphalt roof last in East Tennessee?
Installed to manufacturer specs, architectural asphalt can last up to 50 years in our climate. Humidity and shaded north-facing slopes shorten that on the margins. Class 4 impact-rated lines (we install Atlas StormMaster Shake) generally outperform standard architectural shingles in TN's hail corridor.
Will my insurance pay for a hail-damaged roof?
If the damage meets your carrier's threshold (typically 8+ hits per test square on a representative slope), yes. We document with date-stamped photos, write the claim language in carrier terms, and meet the adjuster on-site. Most legitimate claims in the Tri-Cities are approved within 14–21 days.
How do I know if I need a repair vs. a full replacement?
Three rules of thumb: if the deck is sound and the damage is on under 25% of one slope, we repair. If granule loss is widespread or you have a third layer, we replace. If a previous roofer used 3-tab over architectural, replacement is almost always the better long-term call.
What's the warranty on a Palisade install?
10 years on Palisade workmanship, in writing, on every replacement. Extended manufacturer material warranties are also available on qualifying installs — specific terms vary by shingle line and installation, so we lay them out on every written estimate. Defer to the manufacturer's own warranty document for the binding terms.
Do you handle metal as well as asphalt?
Yes. We install standing-seam metal in 24-gauge Galvalume — standard paint as the default finish, with a Kynar 500 upgrade available for longest-lasting color. Metal runs roughly 1.6–2.2× the cost of comparable asphalt but lasts 2× as long and reduces cooling load by 10–25%. See our metal roofing page for full specifics.
Tell us about your roof.
We'll bring an honest answer.
Most estimates take 20 minutes on-site. We don't sell from the truck, we don't run a finance push, and we don't ask for a signature the same day.
