Tree on the roof. Tarp on the way.
Storm tore through? Branch came down? Active leak into the bedroom? Call us. We tarp, stabilize, photograph, and lock down the damage — then build the claim or repair when the weather clears.
What "emergency" means at Palisade.
Active leak in the house.
Water actively coming in during or right after a storm. Drywall staining, ceiling drip, attic puddling. We tarp the source and stop the entry path today.
Tree or branch impact.
Tree down on roof, branch through deck, displaced shingles from a large limb. We secure the area, document for insurance, and tarp openings.
Wind blow-off.
Section of shingles missing or peeled back during a wind event with rain in the forecast. Tarp before the next system hits.
Old persistent leak.
Leak that’s been there for months and is contained. Important, but better-handled with a proper repair scope and dry conditions.
Suspected hail damage, no leak.
Hail came through, you want to know if there’s damage. This is a free inspection, not a tarp event.
Cosmetic / aesthetic.
Curled shingles, exposed nails, ridge shifting. Worth fixing, not worth tarping. We’ll schedule promptly without the emergency premium.
What we do when we arrive.
Document first
Photos and video from the ground, drone (if safe), and roof level before we touch anything. This becomes claim evidence.
Source the leak
Find the actual entry point, which is usually not directly above the visible interior drip. Mark in chalk.
Tarp & baton
Heavy-gauge tarps secured with 2x4 batons screwed through the tarp to the deck. Lapped 18" over the ridge so water sheds correctly. Holds 30+ days in most weather.
Interior triage
If the ceiling is bulging with water, we can carefully punch a small drain in a discreet spot to prevent collapse. Tarps inside as needed.
Documentation packet
Same-day email with all photos, narrative, and an itemized scope. Forward it to your carrier when you file.
Insurable? Often $0 to you.
Emergency tarp is a covered line item in virtually every TN homeowner policy under "reasonable mitigation expenses." If your storm event is claimable, the tarp cost typically rolls into the claim and you pay nothing out of pocket for it. If the damage isn’t insurable, the tarp is a flat-rate service quoted in writing before we start. No surprises.
Where we respond.
Anywhere in our normal service area. Response time is fastest in Washington, Sullivan, Greene, Carter, and Unicoi counties. We’ll dispatch farther if no one closer can — call and we’ll tell you straight.

The repair is the other half.
Tarp stops the water. Then we look at whether you need a repair (a small leak from a single failure) or a full replacement (decking damage, age, claimable storm event). We’ll tell you honestly which, and quote both if it’s borderline.
